THE PEACE MURAL NEEDS A PERMANENT HOME

After the exhibit at the United Nations the first four hundred completed tiles went in storage at the Mission of Israel in Geneva,Switzerland and is ready to be donated as a gift for a permanent exhibition. The ideal location is a nonpartisan public place such as a children’s hospital, zoo, museum, educational institution or Center for Peace.

*Gayle Gale/Kids For Peace was a delegate in several of the round table sessions of the UN/NGO Sub-Commission on Human Rights.

*The delegates of the sub commission of Human Rights were asked to express thier visions with color and brush in a special Artists For Peace event held in the Palais Des Nations. This different approach to “Human Rights” was guided by Gayle Gale  founder and director Kids For Peace and Dr Ursula Maria Ruser Brauning founder and president Artists For Peace.

*A Kids For Peace postcard workshop was held in collaboration with the Fete d’ Geneve and Fete d’ Excellence "Celebrating Children and Elders Party" in Central Jardin Anglais Park.

Gayle has worked with participants of all ages throughout the world creating painted tiles on the theme of violence and yearning for peace. These 1’ x 1’ panels can be readily assembled like a patchwork quilt to fit the designated space for exhibitions.

The first 400 painted tiles was exhibited at the Palais De Nations in Geneva, Switzerland in collaboration with the 50th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human rights.
